“Ripley Crossing’s mission is to provide senior citizens quality, affordable care and relief from social isolation along with access to a continuum of health care services. We will continue to evolve by recognizing the unique needs of the community we serve, adapting to changing technology, and assisting all we serve to achieve their optimal level of health and comfort.”
We often hear that people can once again enjoy a vital life that, prior to moving here, was no longer available to them because of disability. We foster sociability through the design of our building, grounds and programs. We encourage residents and visitors to access the outdoors.
We have covered porches and an extensive walkway that snakes through the grounds, permitting long wheelchair walks. Visitors may bring pets so long as we have proof of vaccinations. People may access all areas of the building so that indoor walks may feature varied experiences. Three of the living areas have kitchens that residents and visitors may use. Loved ones can also reserve the community room for all types of gatherings, from wedding anniversaries to holiday celebrations.
Daily activities are scheduled as well as holiday celebrations and outings where loved ones are encouraged to join. We understand the separation in cognitive and physical skills throughout our facility, giving each area of care an individualized activity schedule. Our early stage dementia wing will enjoy baking, exercise, and more while our late stage dementia wing is treated to aroma, music, and sensual therapies. Long term care residents will be found playing bingo, card games, or working outside in the flowers.
Nursing care at Ripley Crossing is delivered through knowledge, human relationships, and full awareness of residents, self and others. For each resident, we create an individual care plan and assemble a care team including specialists from every department of our facility. We also strive for the highest level of resident safety. Our caregivers receive continued dementia care, are provided with on-site recertification, and monthly in-service meetings. Our Certified Dementia Care Coordinator also provides training to the community and families.
We believe that people living at Ripley Crossing should have access to life at its fullest while receiving compassion and respect.
