Valentine King and Queen 2020

February 14th isn’t just for sweethearts at Ripley Crossing. It is a day fit for a King and Queen. The residents participated in the crowning of the facilities Valentine’s Day royalty. To become The King and The Queen is about a month process of penny voting from family members, friends and staff. At the end of the cycle the cups are picked up and the money is tallied up to reveal who has the most monetary votes. The residents gathered on Wing One for the celebration as Dr. Ault and his wife Laura Ault dazzled everyone with their ballroom dancing. Following their performance everyone enjoyed juice and sweets. This year’s Valentine Queen is Dorothy Scott and will reign for one year with Valentine King, William “Bill” Meyer . They both received flowers and were draped in red velvet robes, he was adorned with a fully lined crown and she was adorned with a stunning jeweled tiara.
